  • Usage Data: We track the number of tokens used in AI processing to manage the credit system.
  • Prompt & Selected Text: When you use Quiro, the active prompt and the text you select is sent to our servers for AI processing.

How we use your information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Credit Management: Your email is used to maintain your credit balance and allow credit persistence across devices.
  • AI Processing: The active prompt and selected text is sent to Google Gemini API for processing.

Data storage

Your data is stored in the following locations:

  • Chrome Local Storage: Your prompts, categories, active prompt selection, and extension settings are stored only locally on your device using Chrome's extension storage API.
  • Our Database: Your email address and credit balance are stored securely in our database.

Third-party services

Quiro uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Gemini API: Used for AI text processing. Selected text is sent to Google's servers for processing. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for more information.
  • Supabase: Used for authentication, database storage, and serverless functions. Refer to Supabase's Privacy Policy for more information.
  • DodoPayments: Used for processing credit purchases. Payment information is handled directly by DodoPayments and is not stored by us. Refer to DodoPayments Privacy Policy for more information.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

  • API keys are stored securely on our servers and are never exposed in the extension.
  • We use anonymous authentication with email-based identification for user accounts.
  • Credit transactions are validated server-side to prevent manipulation.

  • Access: You can view your credit balance and prompts at any time through the extension.
  • Deletion: You can delete all your local prompts, categories and settings by removing the extension. Contact support to request deletion of your account data from our servers.
  • Portability: Your prompts and settings are stored locally and can be accessed through Chrome's extension data.
